    BMI uses your weight and height as an indicator of total body fat.  It is reliable, but the limits are:
      • It may overestimate body fat in athletes and others with muscular build
      • It may underestimate body fat in older persons and others who have lost muscle mass

Waist Circumference & BMI
After determining your BMI, place a measuring tape snuggly around your waist at your belly button to measure your waist circumference.  Use that information to determine your risk of developing obesity related diseases.
